MAT PILATES CLASSES (12 max)
Mat work is the foundation of Pilates and is a good way to learn the principles of Pilates. These principles of postural alignment, core stability, control, concentration, correct breathing and flow of movement can then be transferred to the reformer. On the mat we use our own body weight as resistance to increase strength, flexibility and joint mobility. All mat classes are designed to cater for varying levels of ability and experience, and cto safely incorporate people with injuries. Mat classes are both safe and beneficial for anybody with low bone density. I often include mat work into my reformer classes especially for upper and lower back strengthening for people with back pain. Keep it simple to achieve great long term goals.
REFORMER CLASSES (5 max)
Reformer classes use the best modern Pilates Reformer Machines. The springs and straps provide a lot more assistance or stability to many exercises and also adds an element of extra strengthening with resistance to the clients workout. This resistance is like doing Pilates with weights or resistance bands. We still focus on correct posture, breathing technique and activation of the correct working and stabilizing muscles to achieve great technique. Reformer classes are better suited to people with injuries, for example people who can’t kneel can sit on a box, or people with shoulder injuries can reduce spring resistance. Reformer classes also suit more experienced clients as they can add more resistance to strengthen and lengthen their muscles to achieve faster results.
MUMS AND BUBS MAT PILATES (max 12)

Women’s bodies go through many changes during pregnancy and need to be strengthened very carefully. Babies are included in the class at all times and will have a lot o fun. A medical certificate to return to exercise is required for recent births.
